Sweet & Sour Chicken with Black Garlic Tagliatelle

Ingredients

1 boneless chicken breast in tenders

.5lb carrots sliced (about 3 regular size ones), coated nicely in sesame oil

2 nest of Black Garlic Tagliatelle

Sweet & Sour Sauce (Ours was 1 part mirin, 1p sweet soy sauce, 2p soy sauce, 1p Gochujang, 2p lemon juice, 1 part sautéed diced onions) we will use half in the marinade and half in our pasta. You can also substitute with Teriyaki or your favorite style of Asian sauce.

1/2 red cabbage chopped in four, coated nicely in sesame oil

Directions

Marinate your chicken in the sweet & sour sauce for at least 3hrs.

Prep your veggies & start your pasta water, as well as heating up pan to give marinated chicken a good sear.

In a baking sheet start roasting first your carrots and then your cabbages until nicely roasted & tender (350F, carrots about 15min~, cabbage 8-10min~). As soon as baking sheet goes in, start cooking chicken until internal temp is over 165F and nicely sauteed. 

Cook your pasta and as soon as it is al dente, add to pan with about 1/3 cup of pasta water + some of the sweet & sour sauce. Reduce until noodles glisten. Garnish with micro cilantro or cilantro.
